We're Rated "Zero" Toxicity in Skin Deep
It's good to be a zero sometimes. Naturity is one of few companies to have all products rated zero toxicity in the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep database. Skin Deep is a guide to cosmetics and personal care complied by the Environmental Working Group, a non-biased research organization, which works in tandem with the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. Both organizations work to bring awareness to consumers about chemicals and toxins, which can be found in some cosmetics and personal care products.
Companies can voluntarily list their products and ingredient components in the database, and then the Environmental Working Group tests the products and their components for a variety of chemicals and toxins. Skin Deep rates the products according to the level of potential toxicity to humans. Products are rated on a scale from zero (0) to ten (10) with zero being the lowest possible toxicity to humans and ten being the highest.
We had all 34 of our products in all four product lines tested and all products were rated zero toxicity. We're thrilled with this rating because it validates our belief that a company can deliver quality personal care products without adding harmful chemicals. For our customers this provides an added comfort knowing that the products are not only comprised of organic ingredients but are also free from harsh chemicals.
